Family in NW Minot displaced by a morning house fire
Minot, North Dakota – At 10:47 on Saturday morning, the Minot Fire Department was called to a house fire at 447 17th St NW.
Within two minutes and twenty seconds of receiving the fire dispatch, Station 5 was on the scene. When the team arrived, they could see smoke coming from all four sides of the house.
After making sure that nobody was still inside, they entered the building to start fighting the fire.
The house’s walls were filled with smoke and the smell of fire. Movement around the home and fire attack were difficult due to the conditions inside. Nevertheless, the fire was eventually restricted to two stories by firefighters from all five stations.
During the incident, no one was hurt. The fire is still being investigated, but the cause is unknown.
