Fargo, North Dakota – The construction of the new St. Paul’s Newman Center at University Drive and 12th Avenue North in Fargo is progressing as planned.

In the words of Reverend James Cheney, the longtime Director of the Newman Center, “We just began to dream and plug in our ministry needs into an architectural model and that is kind of how we got to where we are today.” He is in charge of the ongoing development of a new $33 million dollar building that will contain student housing, a parish hall, and a chapel with a capacity of 425 people.

On Thursday, the steeple was raised to the top of the building. Cheney said that they had concluded their capital campaign only a few days ago. He anticipates that the Parish Hall will be completed by the end of July or early August. He estimates that it will take another year to complete the church project.
