Fargo, North Dakota – On Thursday, Hector International Airport security officers stopped a traveler from bringing a loaded weapon inside the aircraft’s cabin.

TSA agents found the loaded gun after they screened a carry-on bag for abnormalities using an X-ray machine.

The Fargo Police Department was promptly notified by TSA officials, and an officer arrived at the checkpoint.

Travelers who bring a handgun through a TSA screening risk a $15,000 civil fine.

This year, a firearm has been found at a checkpoint at the Fargo airport twice.
