Bismarck, North Dakota – A guy is being held at the Burleigh-Morton Detention Center on accusations of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

According to police, on Saturday night in South Bismarck, 34-year-old Christopher Moran chased a man with a knife and attacked his fiancée.

A black SUV was seen driving out of the area quickly and almost causing a collision when police arrived. When the police pulled over the car, they identified the driver as Moran.

A 36-year-old Bismarck woman with a lower abdominal stab wound was speaking with responding officers. She reported to the authorities that Moran had stabbed her even though they were engaged. Since her injuries were minor, she didn’t need to see a doctor right away.

Officers were told that Moran was pursuing him with the knife by a man from Bismarck, 41, who was also present at the incident.

Since 2018, Moran has been convicted multiple times for domestic abuse.
