Bismarck, North Dakota – The goal of Montana-Dakota Utilities is to raise the cost of its natural gas services.

Earlier this month, the Bismarck-based firm filed a request for an overall raise of roughly seven-point-five percent with the North Dakota Public Service Commission.

The state’s more than 100,000 subscribers would be impacted by this.

Residents will pay about $6 more a month if authorized.

The funds would be used for upkeep and system enhancements.

Next summer, a final decision is anticipated.
