Fargo, North Dakota – The “Feed Our Starving Children” food packing event is scheduled to kick off on Friday. According to the organizers, they hope to break a record this year.

“Our goal is ten million meals for our 10th anniversary over these next ten days at the Fargodome. So it’s ten ten ten. 10th anniversary, ten days at the Fargodome, and our goal is ten million meals,” said Executive Director Amy Okeson.

According to Okeson, another objective is to have 50,000 volunteers help pack at the Fargodome during the following ten days.

They were coming up just short of that total as of Thursday afternoon.

At FargoPack.org, volunteers can register online if they are interested in helping.

Meals will be sent to over 90 countries, packaged in Fargo, and at several locations across the nation.
