Fargo, North Dakota – After receiving a $100,000 grant from a regional bank, a local food pantry is having celebrations.

To announce the donation, several Gate City Bank employees spoke Thursday morning at the Dakota Medical Foundation. The bank donated $100,000 to West Fargo Eats to eradicate hunger in the neighborhood.

“It’s so exciting!” Said Pastor Joel Baranko with West Fargo Eats. “It’s an investment in our vision to eliminate hunger in our community. We know with gifts like this, with partners like Gate City Bank, that we can strengthen our vision to make sure that people have food at home.”

“Feeding the hungry is one of our main pillars, the main causes we are passionate about, ” said Amanda Torok, the Senior Vice President of Culture at Gate City Bank. “It just felt right to help them in this initiative.”

Torok also hinted at the prospect of a sizable donation to another organization. By clicking here for more details and to suggest a charity, people can cast their votes for a nominee to win $50,000.
